SAN ANGELO, TX – X-treme Bulls at the 90th Annual San Angelo Rodeo did not disappoint. Most cowboy days have ended on the ground, but for a cowboy, it’s a day he will never forget.
The action kicked off with Ky Hamilton’s Ride on the back of the Rafter H bull Night Prowler. This mad dash earned him an 85-point run and into the short.
Two rides later, Montana Cowboy Parker Breding went for 84.5 points on the back of Rafter H’s Upper Cut. Spoiler alert, these two cowboys will be the matchup to watch in the final round.
And finally, two-time San Angelo Rodeo Champion Trevor Kastner did what he does best. His steamy ride on the back of Pete Carr’s bull, Marlboro Man, earned him the best score of 86.5 points heading into the championship round.
If you thought bulls were mean in foreplay, think again. 10 cowboys qualified for the championship round but only 2 survived. Breding was the first to score an 86-point lap from the back of the station.
86 looked hard to beat until Ky Hamilton showed the crowd on Sunday what he wanted to do to remember 90 and a half points on Pete Carr’s time bomb.
Manny Diaz from San Angelo LIVE! met the Aussie Cowboy who told him why winning at Angelo is a big deal. It’s Bull Riding presented by First Financial Bank.
