SunRail officials reported a 40% increase in passenger numbers compared to 2021.
Other items on the agenda included maintenance and transition plans to local control and operations.

During the meeting, Seminole and Osceola county leaders expressed concerns about funding.

“Anything we do differently, we’ll have to come to a consensus,” Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said. “I can’t predict what the funding models might be, but I imagine they would be very different from existing models. But we are only at the first stages.
