Shots fired at off-road cyclist in Lothian: police

LOTHIAN, MD – A teenager was riding his dirt bike in Lothian when a passenger in a car jumped out and shot the driver, police said.
The confrontation happened around 4:30 p.m. Friday near Berkley Court and Sands Road, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
The 18-year-old victim told police he was riding his dirt bike when a car pulled up in front of him, causing him to pull over. A passenger got out of the vehicle and shot him, the teenager told officers.

The victim fled on foot and the dirt bike was stolen by the attackers.
No injuries were reported, according to a police statement.

Detectives reported finding evidence of shots being fired at the scene.
The suspects are described as four men wearing face masks and driving a large dark-colored sedan.
