Scooter Rider fatally struck in pedestrian crash on East 7th Street near Gunter Street in Austin

Austin, Texas. (April 29, 2022) – One person was killed in an accident involving a pedestrian on April 29, 2022 in Austin, Texas. The crash happened just after 2.30am in the 3400 block of East 7and Street near Gunter Street. Police say the victim was hit by a Dodge passenger car while riding an electric scooter. The scooter driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Dodge driver was arrested for drunk driving. No further details have been provided at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
