Police say the 30-something was riding his scooter westbound on 44e Driving when hit at the intersection of Vernon Boulevard and 44e Conduct.
The motorist, who police say was in a black Porsche SUV, was traveling south on Vernon Boulevard around 6 p.m. when he struck the scooter. The driver then fled.
