Now a common feature of our vehicles, smart technology allows us to make phone calls, change music and get directions to our destination, without having to take our eyes off the road or take our hands off the wheel.
With the latest offerings from motorcycle brands and safety gear, riders can now access all of the same convenient features from a helmet. According to Motorcycles Data, the motorcycle industry will be worth $156 billion by 2026, and luxury accessories like these practical and smart helmets will become essential gear for those who own a motorcycle.
Forcite MK1S Smart Helmet
Sydney-based Forcite is a leading smart motorcycle brand with its ultra-lightweight, high-tech helmets. Its latest smart helmet, the MK1S, has a carbon fiber shell and features Forcite’s patented edge LED display that lets riders see real-time traffic alerts and navigation commands.
Wearers will be able to hear crisp audio through premium Harman Kardon speakers and speak through two built-in microphones that are tuned to cut out wind noise.
A chin-mounted camera captures 1080p and is approved for racetracks, allowing wearers to easily capture footage while driving and easily share it via the Forcite app. All of these features add up to the total price of AU$1,299.
Boom Harley Davidson! Audio N02
Equipped with an integrated Sena Momentum 30K Bluetooth communication system, this smart helmet from Harley Davidson allows users to enjoy music, talk with up to eight riders via intercom and take hands-free calls. Constructed of fiberglass, the helmet is relatively lightweight and remains fog-free thanks to the chin and forehead vents.
The boom ! The helmet also comes with an integrated FM radio and an integrated mesh intercom which, when set to private mode, connects up to 16 riders via the intercom. This futuristic headset is priced at US$550 – around A$770.
Crafted with a pure carbon fiber shell, Jarvish’s JARVISH X headset is super lightweight and convenient with its ability to take hands-free calls, play music, connect to navigation and capture Full HD 2K footage.
Produced by a start-up based in Taiwan, the JARVISH X headset and the X-AR model are announced on the crowdfunding site Kickstarter and are respectively priced at US$699 and US$1,599.
Sena Momentum Inc Pro
Combining the high-tech audio features of the Momentum Bluetooth headset with a QHD action camera, the Momentum Inc Pro from Sena is one of the smartest headsets on the market. Capturing 1440p of footage through a 135-degree field of view, the built-in camera is attached to the top of the headset and can be activated with the push of a button.
According to Sena, studies show that highway noise can reach over 100 decibels, and prolonged exposure can cause permanent hearing loss. To combat this, the Momentum Inc Pro comes with noise cancellation and intelligent noise control, so you can choose to hear your surroundings clearly while reducing wind noise.

Equipped with Quin’s fully integrated Bluetooth system, the Ghost Umbra offers hands-free capabilities as well as an intelligent security technology system. Called the “Intelliquin System,” this security technology manually triggers an SOS beacon that broadcasts your location to your emergency contacts.
