Bolt to Roll Out New Features and Initiatives to Address Passenger Issues in Ghana
Bolt’s Country Leader, David Kotei Nikoioutlined some initiatives Bolt will be launching in the coming days to address a number of issues affecting cyclists in the cities where Bolt operates.
Card travel releases
Some Bolt drivers have rejected card travel in favor of cash travel due to the number of days it takes for card payments to clear their accounts.
Bolt will try to remedy the problem by increasing training on the benefits of card trips and paying drivers an additional 2 GHC for each card trip taken (commission-free).
Drivers who cancel card journeys will face penalties.
Solution for paid wait issues
Some Bolt drivers have a habit of not starting rides when picking up passengers, which has resulted in higher passenger fares. Bolt will implement an issue to treat drivers who do not start trips fairly.
It has been reported that some Bolt drivers show up in different vehicles than the Bolt app or even show up as a different driver.
Bolt will add functionality to help minimize driver identity theft and will also consider similar functionality for driver identification.
