A motorcyclist died following a collision with a car in Tipton this afternoon (Sunday May 22). He was only 21 years old.
The young man was seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene in St Marks Road despite the best efforts of medical staff. Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened around 4.10pm.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their investigations. West Midlands Police have released a statement.

Sergeant Chris Ridge, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: ‘We have specialist officers supporting the man’s family at this difficult time. I am urgently appealing to anyone with information who has not already spoken to us to get in touch.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the bike immediately before, and in particular may have CCTV or dash cam footage.”
