A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital with a serious injury following an accident on the corner of a busy road last night.
Marine Drive in Southport was forced to close last night after a motorbike and car crashed on the corner of Marshside Road. Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to report an accident around 5.35pm on Tuesday June 7, with the road then closed for several hours.
It has also been confirmed that the 19-year-old driver suffered serious leg injuries after being involved in an accident with a white Toyota Aygo. He was taken to hospital and the road reopened last night.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman told ECHO: “We received reports at around 5.35pm of a traffic collision on Marshside Road between a white Toyota Aygo and a motorbike. The driver of the motorbike, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury.
